Hey guys, I got some shifter bushings for you.
<a href="http://s280.photobucket.com/albums/kk170/kabamm522/?action=view¤t=IMG_0790.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk170/kabamm522/IMG_0790.jpg" border="0" alt="shifter bushing"></a>
These are not the shifter base bushings nor the under hood cable bushings.
These bushings are the ones that are used to bolt the shifter cable bracket to the trans. I looked long and hard for these bushings and no one sells them.
The image above is for a 1g, these bushings will make your shifter firm as hell.
4 bushings will be included in a 1g kit.

But for a 2g 6 bushings will be included, 4 normal bushings, and 2 eccentric bushings. This is needed in a 2g because there is no shifter cable adjustments. You can use these eccentric bushings to adjust your shifter cables on a 2g by slightly angling the shifter cable bracket, or use the normal ones if you have no adjustment issues.
Ive had a problem in my 96 with the shifter being out of adjustment and no way to fix it. The shifter didnt have enough spring action keeping it in the 3-4 possition. So when I shifted 3rd or 4th I would have to push the shifter over rather then just relaying on the spring action. Due to this I shifted 3rd to 2nd and reved the motor to nearly 12,000 rpm. Everything was Ok and I went 9.56 the pass after that but it scared the shit out of me, and I had to come up with a fix for it.
So this is what I came up with. Works perfect in my 96 it feels like it should and I will finnally be able to shift the 96 as fast as I used to shift my 95.
$35 a set
Thanks,
