driving on a blown turbo

i was kinda parinoid when the dude who did my swap said i should be fine so ill ask here,

i just got a fresh rebuild and my turbo was blown . so i ordered a new one and its coming today. the guy whos installing it turned off my boost somehow and told me i should be fine as long as i take it easy . is he right ?

The most common way of doing this is by unhooking the wastegate actuator from the lever. It's perfectly harmless, but quite boring.

You should be fine, as long as you don't try to boost it.

You will be fine but i wont do this for a long period of time, and dont push the car
