So now I'm on the drivetrain pat of my build and I need help on which route to go.

1. Clutch- should I go with an act 2100, exedy organic, or fidanza 2.1?

2. Lsd....I'm FWD, I was thinking slowboys

3. flywheel- fidanza aluminum

keep in mind I'm a 7bolt and I've heard about the heavier plates causing the thrust bearing wear and then possibly crankwalk. < I could use some opinions on this. .......I've also disconnected the safety clutch switch and don't plan on being on my clutch at stop lights and stuff.

Also I'm getting things rebuilt and If I go with an eagle crank and new bearings, wouldn't that solve the more common crankwalk issue with the 7bolt than the 6 bolt?

thanks.

I would go with the exedy organic becuase i've heard alot of bad things about their springs breaking easily. And the slowboys lsd is fine i have'nt heard of anything bad about them.

Dont you mean you wouldnt go with the exedy organic from hearing a bunch of bad things LOL not you would go with it LOL

wait you would go with a exedy cause their springs break?

Im thinking he meant he wouldnt LOL But I would go with ACT myself just trust them better. But if you plan on any future mods I would go with the 2600 instead, Just gives you a little more breathing room for a few extra dollars, I mean it wouldnt hurt it. Just my 2 cents

Ok haha, can I get some opinions on the whole heavy plate= bearing wear faster? like right now I'm thinking ...

ACT 2100
Fidanza Flywheel
Slowboy LSD

Like I said I'm probably going with an eagle crank and new bearing, will that make me less prone to crankwalk ?

You have a 99 7 bolt aka with the revised split thrust bearing. You don't need to worry about crankwalk. ACT makes quality clutches, I have the 2600 and it's held up to 400+ lb/ft torque daily driving for over a year now.

since your front wheel drive youll be able to hold 320 tq with that set up maybe a little more -- if that is under your horse power and tq goals then go for it --

members here swear by the 2600 but my buddy just had some issues with it and his hydrolic line

good luck

Revised thrust bearings do seam to have cured the more frequent 2Ga crank walk issue. It's all there to research.

My slowboy LSD insert has done fine for 5+ years and Link estimated 400+ ftlbs of torque. Also for 13.4 sec passes with a hard hitting front wheel drive 14b car, and a bit faster small 16g and h1c setup.

Yes the insert puts a side load on the spider sets that the engineers didn't account for. But, the FWD tranny is known to break at such a level that I was pushing anyhow. If I had any more traction, I think I would have popped 3rd anyway.

The thing you have to keep in mind though is look at the number of people running ACT clutches as opposed to any other clutch, ACT was pretty much the beesknees up until recently with the Fidanza, Southbend, and Exedy clutches starting to show up more.
