Ok, I dropped my 6bolt motor in my 95 talon tsi awd 5spd and everything is working great except when i go to make a hard turn. The front wheels are skipping and jumping like the front diff is locked up. I have no idea what is going on with this and am not sure of how to check it without ripping the motor and trans back out. Anything you can tell me is greatly appreciated!

Yeah i drained and re-filled everything when i swapped the motor over. From what i know it is the stock trans and t-case it drives perfectly fine when going straight. I'm wondering if the tranny is actually lose from the motor itself. I know the top two tranny bolts and the one on the front of the motor are all tight, but i cant get to the back one to check and see if it is. I don't think this would be my problem though. I need to put it in the air and see if the two front wheels spin opposite of each other. I'm guessing its the diff or a CV but i cant hear the CV's when driving (open downpipe) to tell if they are ticking or popping.

well i had the same symtoms a couple months ago and then it went away and then i found out my gsx was running in RWD which means the center diff is broken

I bought the 95 with no motor or anything in it, but it came with all the parts. I have no idea what it was doing before. The car was sitting for a year or more. The 6bolt is from my 91 AWD

Are you sure theres not a welded center diff? LOL

Maybe a crapo t case, if the center diff was bested youd be RWD already like stated above.

its very common to have it welded i think you need to do some more reserch

Yes its very common. I had my 90 GSX center diff welded, tight, low turning speeds felt like a 4WD truck in low hopping...but it launched like a bat out of hell. HAHa launched so hard it actually twisted the spline shaft off in the rear diff! LOL

The only way to tell would be to pull the tranny apart, honestly if that's the only weird driving symptom it has and the tranny shifts fine with no other weird noises or anything I'd just run it with that tranny. If it bothers youallot you could always pull the tranny and get a 4-spyder center diff put in its place.
