There's many places on these cars where cheap/aftermarket units should never be used. A carrier bearing is certainly one of them. Seems simple enough to produce right? I'll point you to the Dorman crank pulley as a perfect example. 1/3 the price of oem, avg lifespan of 3000 miles. Willing to risk damage to your driveshaft, transfercase, or rear diff from a seized or separated carrier bearing?

Whats this you say? 3000 miles on the Dorman crank pulley? BLASPHEMY! I got 300 miles ROFL
Seriously though, OP, just get the OE carriers, its just not worth doing the job twice AND having to pay for OE parts on top of it if these cheaper units fail. You might just as well purchase an entire driveshaft repair kit and be done with it as the U joints are worm=n out as well. JNZTUNING has the best price on this, right around 300.00. If you like, go ahead and get the cheap carriers, and keep us updated as you put miles on them- who knows? Maybe theyll hold up fine. Further more on the subject of the driveshaft parts, dont you dare ever put any aftermarket u joints on, they will catastrophically fail, causing your driveshaft to become a destructive swinging steel juggernaught the likes of which has never been seen!
