drivers side wont lock

my drivers side lock lever thingy wont go down. i force it down and it'll come back up so now my drivers side is always open.. any suggestions on what it could be?? thanks in advance.

Some of the new eclipses have a security feature that if your key is in the ignition the driver said door wont look. So id look into your wiring or a fuse.

also some you have to hold the handle up when you shut the door otherwise it wont lock! try that and see if it stays locked otherwise the locking mechanism is messed up!

^^THIS!!! push the look down while holding the handle up then close the door without releasing the handle
