what's up everyone, i have a 98 eclispe gst and the driver side door sometimes, well most of the time does not wanna lock. does anyone else seem to have this problem and if so how can i fix it or how much will it cost to get it fixed?

what do u mean doesnt lock..? if its power lock when u hit the button n it doenst lock then i have no idea..my pass. side wont lock for the button or the remote....if its just that u lock it n shut it n the door doesnt lock...u might wanna try what my brother does with his car....shut the door while holding the handle up outide....put the key in lock it pull out key n let handle down? dont ask my why but thats how ghetto his car is LOL

well what i meant was that, when i hit the button to lock the car it makes that clickin sound like it's locking but the lock stays unlock and usually when that happens i have to shut the door and lock it with the key, but sometimes the key feels like it dosent wanna turn to lock and i dont wanna turn it to hard and mess up my key, it has it's day when it wants to lock it will and when it doesnt feel like it it wont, its starting to get frustrated

i would take off the door panel im doin that in spring n tryin to figure out why my pass side wont unlock...id just mess with it until its fixed not much can go wrong with tryin to figure out something in ur door....at least i wouldnt think

My passanger side is the same, i took the door panel off and there is a hook loose, don't know where it goes tough, i will take pictures when i can.

im a newb so dont get mad if this is stupid. If the key doesnt wanna turn somtimes, maybe some water got in there and started to rust. give it a couple shots of krown and it should work if thats the case. My freinds locks wouldnt turn at all and krown did the trick.

Take the door panel off and check the linkage for the locks. On my 99 Eclipse my driver's side locks weren't working because the black tar sealant they use to hold the plastic liner in place leaked all over the linkage causing more friction which the power lock motor didn't have enough power to move.
