Driver's side door lock actuator dead..

Now I hear this is a common problem with 2g's with power locks, but the dealer wants 300 dollars just to look at it...#### that! I've seen door lock actuator's (Universal) on eBay but, I'm not going for those because I've heard they are horrible and don't last.

Now, is there any place besides the dealer to go to, to go and get some new power lock actuators? I want my keyless entry back

Scroll down and click on the picture that says OEM parts. You can get what you need there for like $120-$150 or something like that and then just replace it yourself.

I had to do this not too long ago. It was kind of a pain in the ass to get the lock out of the door and the new one back in but you definatly pay like half of what you would if you took it somewhere to get it done.

Mine will lock but it will not unlock.

I'm reviving the dead...anyways I just ordered some from Rancho Cordova in Sacramento, CA. Both sides for about $90. Of course these are not new (they are a Mitsubishi salvage comp).

Just give them a parts inquiry...I actually ordered my IAC from them as well, and my friend got a clutch fork there.
