Drivers Auto Belt Not Working in Reverse

My drivers automatic seat belt retractor works normally whenever I open the door and it goes forward, but when I close the door its doesnt come backwards. It was getting stuck a couple of times before it completely stopped working. Only way for it to go backwards is for me to pull it all the way back, but then it goes back forward whenever I open the door. What do you guys think? Forward works, but backwards doesnt seem to work.

Found the problem! Took the drivers auto belt motor out and there is a relay behind the white plastic cover. I guess it has two small relays built in one... http://img234.echo.cx/img234/8496/page27ls.jpg and I replaced it and it worked! It made sense because the motor was working in one way, but not the other. Hope this helps in the future for all!

I had the same problem and fixed it the same way by replacing the relay, sorry I could not help.
