So my day begins and I get in my car and start to take off. Gently. The car moves forward a couple of feet and BAM the car jerks violently to a stop and then starts to go forward again. This is the only time of the day that it happens. I'm clueless as to what would cause this. Any ideas?

I would start off with checking your tran's fluid. Auto's can act real funny when they are low.

Do a power stall, load the trans/TC. If the trans starts jerking as the trans/TC reach their load/stall rpm, sprag/one-way clutch may be bad?

I just changed the filter and fluid less than a month ago. I've had this problem since I bought the car, but come to think of it has gotten worse since the fluid change. I'll definitely check it.

Is the sprag/one-way clutch the same as the end clutch? If so the end clutch controls the overdrive? The overdrive tends to shut off on hills and and after POT pulls.

No! Did you do the stall test I suggested? "Overdrive", you have moved to a problem beyond you first question, call IPT and ask what a complete overhaul will run you?
