Downside to 3" IC piping ?

I'd have to agree with what Black95 mentioned about losing velocity. The only way I can see this working is if you had a monster of a turbo, and a motor that flowed an amazing amount of air.

if you are at the level where you need 3 inch plumbing then the only downside is trying to keep everything else togeather ROFL

I agree

The intake is going on a 6bolt 2.3 stroker with a p&p'd 1G head hks 272s.

The turbo I will be using is the GT4067.

FMIC core is the Spearco 2-216.

I just want to know if 3" will be overdoing it with that setup.

I run a PTE PT67 on a fully built 2.0 and only use 2.5 Waiting on my magnus intake w/ 75mm tb. Think 2.5 is suffcient enough.

I agree. However, I think it wouldn't be too bad of an idea to run the last section of the upper intercooler piping 3" (like if you have a blow-thru setup, just make that last section of piping 3"). Just use a 3"-2.5" reducer coupler to connect it to the 2.5" piping. This way the 3" would match up closer to the 75mm throttle body.

That is some serious harware :thumb: Like my pappy always said:"Do it right the first time, do it once." Go for the three inch plumbing :rocks:
