Downpipe Leak?

If you have exhaust gases coming out where the downpipe meets the o2 housing would you lose horsepower?

Seeing as your a first gen, it's past the o2 sensor so it shouldn't really matter. The only issue may be if you were to melt something, or fry your alt. Why is it leaking? Is either you o2 housing or downpipe cracked? or is the gasket fried?

Shouldn't lose power. The turbo itself creates back pressure. If it was N/A you would lose that back pressure, and power. That's why our cars can get away with large diameter exhausts. The only thing you will lose is the ability to hear your radio

Lol, the gasket is fried im getting two new ones today. Im gonna put both of them on because I have a 3 inch down pipe and stock 1g o2 housing. When I first got my car it pulled so hard I didnt even need to upgrade the turbo. Than after while I noticed a degrease in power ever since I changed my clutch and disconnected the downpipe. I know its not the fact that im jus not gettin use to the way the car pulls. I changed the turbo to the big16g at first I got some power back but now it seems stock again. I talk to some mechanics and some say you will loose horsepower and some people say you wont. Just trying to find the real answer??

I also have a 26x12x3 interccoler wit 3' inlet if I install this with 3 inch pipping. How much effect would it have as in horsepower and performance ?
