Many of the questions posted here can be answered by reading the Factory Service Manuals. They explain 'how things work', provide specs, wiring schematics, torque specs, component testing info, Troubleshooting Flowcharts, etc
Most of the posts which note access/download the DSM Service and Technical Manuals are outdated or broken. Just an a means to help our DSM community, here is a link to download the 1G AND 2G Manuals (for free). Note some are quite large, so plan accordingly.
