Door Latch Assembly

I've been having trouble with my door as it is difficult to open. I can open it with ease from the inside 100% of the time, but from the outside is difficult and the success rate is slowly diminishing(whether I lock it or not) and since I recently busted the passenger door handle checking if the car was locked(can't check D/S) I'm wondering if anyone in here's had a similar problem, cause eventually I won't be able to get inside. I believe they said I needed a new door latch assembly(sound right? it was so long ago) and estimated everything at a little over $220. Would it be similar to replacing the door handle since I'm going to be replacing my passenger side DH soon, and maybe I could apply the knowledge to the latch assembly? Thanks

well its pretty common for the exterior handle itself to break and you can install a new one yourself

Lube it first, white lithium spray grease. Then open up the door and see if things are adjusted properly. It will help if you know Braille.

Could it be a clip on the outside handle assembly? You said you can open it 100 percent from the outside. I recently fixed my friend's driver side exterior handle... You can go on ebay and grab one... only downside is that its black. It comes with the clips needed to throw it on.

... Yeah I just broke mine this morning thanks to ####in Michigan winters... it was frozen shut and I was rushing to work. IS there a write up on how to take it apart I don't want to break anything else while I'm fixing it.
