I'm looking for the buzzer. So I can just remove it or unplug it. I'm sick of being out with the crew and hearing my door dinger when I show someone my car or I'm in their trying to play music.

I have done searching and I can not find anything. I probably have not looked arounf good enough. Please help.

Its the black sensor down by the door jam, just take it out and unplug it from the harness and put it back in so there isn't a hole there. You'll also lose interior lights when you open the door by doing this though.

I know the sensor. But I'm looking for the actual thing that makes the noise. I figure by just unplugging the connector from the noise maker I will still be able to have lights.

If he wants to play music he cant take the key out.

False.

Are you using the stock stereo? I could understand that being a problem if you are. If you wire the aftermarket headunit correctly (and by correctly I mean the situation application), you do not have to have the key on. I have mine wired that way, always have and always will. Just simply turn it on when you want it on and turn it off when you don't. No dinging noise.

I have a after market stereo. And like, when me and my crew are doing our thing on the weekends. We open up our cars. Hoods, doors everything. And what I do is I have music playing. And its just whack having to listin to that door buzzer. I guess I can go with the idea of unpluging the little sensor.

And the deck I have doesnt do that. It just has a standbye feature and just stays liten up. What I'm wanting to do is eliminate the door buzzer and still be able to open up the doors and have the lights turn on.

And what just came to my mind is that I can hook my aftermarket stereo to a switch and be able to leave my key out and just flip the switch off and on.

What kind of head unit are you running? All the ones I have used have had off button. Then again, all of mine have been Sony X-Plod's.

Okay heres what you do....... Install some oem taillights.

I kid. I kid. (not really, well actually not at all)

Although I do agree that buzzer is annoying. I bet if you listen closely enough you could pin poin the location of where it is and take it out.

I just looked it up. So, you can't push or hold the butting that has the power symbol on it and says source to turn it off? You may just have to have it wired like I spoke of earlier to interact with that feature.
