My friend bought this off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...RK:MEWN:IT&viewitem=&item=300095964998&rd=1,1 afterwards he asked me if this chip can help modifi the air signal going to his air mass so, he can vent his bov the the atmosphere because he can't afford a maf-t? he has a 1g talon btw. it says that it doesn't work on turbo or supercharged engines but, he just needs it to modifi the air signal so he can vent it

The only thing that sensor will aid in is wasting fuel. What it does is trick the computer into thinking that its colder outside so it richens up the fuel mixture. Vented BOV can only be achieved with a different MAF. Having a BOV between the MAF and TB means that any air that passes through the MAF has been accounted for by the ECU and therefore fuel has been calculated for it. When you vent this air into the atmosphere, all the air goes bye-bye but the computer still injects all the fuel it calculated for that air and you run super rich, possibly stalling. If you want to announce to the world with a PSSHT sound that you have a turbo car, you gotta suck it up and spend the money.

No, it won't let him vent the CBV.
If your friend is so enamored with the Riced & Curious hiss, he needs to lay down the money and actually pay for it. This isn't adding racing stripes to a Honda, this is modifying how the engine actually works; in this case, how it counts the airflow, so some can be dumped from the loop and either nor counted, or accounted for.

A cheap-ass $20 Fleabay 'chip' won't do jack for him. Laugh at him, as he threw money away. I sure as hell would.
