I'm going to be looking for a low budget way to build a ecu harness extension. I'm looking for a donor car that's likely to be found in a junkyard that has the same pinout as a 2g turbo ecu.

So far my research has found the following uses the same ecu pinout
91-05 acura nsx
93-05 mazda rx7
94-97 Mitsubishi 3000gt
95-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse
00-05 Mitsubishi Eclipse
03-05 Mitsubishi Evo
02-03 Mitsubishi Lancer

I know some of the hyundais uses the same pinout as a 1g. I'm wondering if there are any others that use the same pinout that's more readily available at junkyards for a 2g.

An alternative strategy:

First, look up the Part numbers you need.

Then, go to Tyco's website, look up the part numbers (you might have to play with colors and packaging to get everything) and request engineering samples; they're free, and so is the shipping. You probably won't be able to get enough pins that way, but they're pennies a piece from a dozen places online (Digikey, Mouser, Newark, New United, OnlineComponents, etc).

I guarantee you'll spend less time that way than picking through a parts yard, and at least in the northern half of the country, it's bloody cold outside right now. ;)

so i got curious and downloaded the greddy e-manage manual to see what cars had the same plugs as ours. with the addition of a few Japanese models here is what i could find. but they weren't very good pictures but

91 - 95 rx7
93 - 01 intrega
93 - 97 celica
93 - 97 mr2
and 90 - 93 supra

Found a 99 build date mirage in the junkyard. Got the ECU connectors along with the OBD2 port and OBD1 port. I'm good to go now.
