Sidney,
i just cannot figure this one out. My dome lights don't work when my drivers side door is opened, and comes on sporatically when the passenger side is open. When the trunk is opened they come on all the time. I've checked fuses, switches, and everything seems connected. One weird thing is when I pull the fuse and put it back, the dome lights DO come on. Any ideas what to look at next?

When the switches the door presses on begin to go bad or the boot leaks and crap gets in under it, I have heard of the switches causing sporadic dome light issues. I think they are at the bottom rear of the door frame inset? I forget for sure, but chick those out, or replace them with a known working switch and see if it solves your problem. Good luck!

Figure this one out: my dome lights work just fine for opening and closing the door, but will NOT turn on using the switches on the rearview mirror. Cool!

Yep. I have a similar issue. Usually I have to shut and reopen my doors repeatedly and then they'll come on. Post a solution if you find it.

get over it or get new door switches every couple months. these damned switches have screwed me over in the talon, AND my old avenger :barf:
