I have a mitsubishi eclipse gst, 97 model. and was wondering is there any aftermarket mods you can do which dont require the car being took to a dyno and tuned. i just bought the car so i dont have a lot more money to play with. ive noticed getting a car tuned is outrageous.

I've never been to a dyno. It's nice to tweak but not necessary. You can street tune if you have the right stuff.

After ALL maintenance has been done the first mods I'd suggest is gauges. A wideband (Innovate LC-1), oil pressure, coolant temp, proper boost gauge. Then DSMlink. Light version is ok. The a $10 boost controller and start learning how to tune. A fuel pump rewire is also cheap and will be need to flow more fuel.
