Alright guys doing the heart transplant and everything is going good so far ON MY 2G 96 GST. I blew some holes through my 2g head. i inspect it. im deciding to go with a 6 bolt swap. I bought a 1990 6 bolt from noyan.com. Nice clean motor. strip it down from all its parts intake manifold, 14b turbo, ect. IF ANYBODY NEEDS SOME 1G PARTS LET ME KNOW.

SO I PUT MY 2G EXHAUST MANI AND PORTED EVOIII. DID THE MOTOR MOUNT MOD. VERY EASY. GOT NEW BELTS ON THERE AND EVERTHING. NEW 1G WATERPUMP. AND I HAD TO USE A 1991-92 INTERNAL OIL COOLER WHICH WORKS BETTER WITH MY 2G. PUTTING A MAGNUS INTAKE MANIFOLD. ILLIMINATING EGR. 2G TEMP SENSOR. BPR7ES PLUGS. 8.5 MAGNECOR WIRES.

IM WONDERING CAN USE MY 2G COIL PACK. AND HOW MUCH AM I LOOKING AT FOR DOING INTERNAL WORK LIKE WIESCO PISTONS 8.5:1 AND EAGLE RODS. AND OVERSIZE VALVES FOR FOR HEAD. CAN YOU GUYS RECOMEND ME SOME SITES SO I CAN GET SOME CHEAP LABOR DONE. :sneaky: . IM ALSO DECIDING BETWEEN THE AEM MANAGMENT OR DSM LINK. I HAVE 96 ECLIPSE. RIGHT NOW I HAVE SAFCII. 550 CLINIC.

Yes, you can use your 2g coil pack. All 91-99 4g63 coil packs are the same and are interchangeable.

As for internal work, Buschur Racing charged me $350 for hot-tank, deck, bore .020'' over for Weisco 9:1 pistons, and hone. You could definitely find cheaper machine work, but at the time I didn't want to risk going elsewhere. Make sure you bring in your pistons to wherever you have do cylinder work.

If you are looking for someone to actually assemble your motor, you are going to have to shop around your area for trusted builders or learn to do it yourself. Otherwise you could send it off to Buschur, SBR, Magnus, etc for a full build by them, but it will most likely be on the pricey side.

1mm OS valves in your head is another pricey modification and is very easy for incompetant machine shops to screw up. It requires all 16 of your valve seats to be re-sized correctly. That being said, I swapped my stock 1g head for a built ported and polished 1g head with 1mm OS valves and felt a significant increase in the top end. However with the labor involved, it would be easier just to port and polish it and throw some regular sized undercut valves.

For the money, I would go with DSMLink over the AEM unit. However if you are just keeping the 550s, the SAFC will handle them just fine.
