Should i 4g64 swap my 2g eclipse? The stock 420a lived a good life. Its still living but the head gasket is bad and some valve noise is coming. And i know on the convertable models, some came with 4g64s with the single cam head. And hyundai made a dual cam version should i do it?

Swapping a Mitsubishi engine into an RS/GS is no small feat. It is a lot of work that requires significant fabrication. Generally, finding a turbo car is a much easier route. That's not to say that it isn't possible, but most people who have to ask aren't skilled enough to do it.

you can't use a 2g 2.4L . you would have to go with one out of a 3g. It would basically be like doing an EVO swap but with a shitty engine (compared to the evo 4g63).

you might even be able to use the 4th gen 2.4L with the MIVEC head.

but for sure, swapping a 2.4 SOHC engine is alot of work with no gain in performance over the 420a
