doesnt feel right

a new boost controller he connected it
but it does not feel like its boosting.
the gauge says 8psi but it does not feel right

8psi is definitely not right, that's way less that even stock. what psi were you running before the boost controller was installed?

Its obviously not going to feel as fast as it did overboosting.

What was there reasoning on this?? They obviously gave you more problems now if it's not even boosting stock boost levels.

Check if any vaccume lines are loose, boostleak test

that dude messed up my eclipse and i took it to speed factory to fix...

Idk i guess a lot of people have there own likes and diss likes with places but a lot of people don't like speed factory because there kinda pricey but "you get what you pay for"... I tried other places and they messed up my eclipse and so i always find myself back at speed factory to get it fixed. I mean the owner is the teacher at the college so pretty sure he knows whats up with cars...

I try and deal with shops as little as possible. Had too many bad things happen, even with the stealership.... but least the stealership would bite the cost when they messed up reason i guess they were pricier. A boost controller is something you could of and should of done yourself. your a DriverSlashMechanicr!

Hi foofers, this is ray from luna,
As Robert explained to you, your vacuum lines were not hooked up to reference boost at all meaning that your turbo was at max boost all the time (not safe, the backfire you explained was fuel cut, which is there to protect in cases just like this) and the ebay boost controller you had was a two piece, that was missing the second part.
For this reason he had you go buy a new manual boost controller.
We hooked it up correctly and all you needed to do is turn up the boost to whatever you desired.
This is most likely why your car didn't feel the same at 8 psi vs the 20+ you were running previously. for the record, I wouldn't recommend running past 13 with the mods you had.
