Does this sound right...? trying to buy a gsx

this guy says he did a full gsx swap to a talon shell and it has the awd shit in the rear but he put a gs-t transmission in it for some reason.. but he said i could just swap a awd tranny in there and it would have awd. is this possible?

Sure. See how much of the AWD gear is left in the car ie. rear diff, driveshaft (back half).

If you get the car, see if you can get the compete driveshaft and carrier bushing if he has it. It will be one less thing you have to look for. Also, search to see if the front transaxles are the same as the AWD. IIRC, I think that they are different. Just do a search and see.

I think he is bull craping you. Is the car running and driving with this "fwd tranny"? while the awd rear end in the car?

If it is a AWD, you better be sure to find the right gear ratios. Otherwise you'll end up in trouble.
