i called a few different muffler shops today, and got some different prices...what i am looking for is a shop that will do 2 1/4" piping mandrel bent from the cat back, with a new high flow cat, to an aftermarket muffler...i called one place, and they said they can do everything from cat back, press bent, can bring in my own muffler, for around $230-$250...Merlin said they could do it for aroun $265(same thing, piping from cat back, press bent), but the price doesnt include the installation of the muffler...and then i called meinike, and they said it would be around $100 for press bent, 2 1/4" piping with the new muffler....do these prices sound about right? or what price range should it be in for what im looking for? i would be providing a new high flow cat and some sort of aftermarket muffler(possibly a konig mozart)....thanks guys...also, any other suggestions on shops that will do mandrel bent instead of press or crush bending?

shops around here usualy charge around $25-40 dollars for welding on mufflers/cats.
So for putting on ur cat and muffler plus new press bent piping and depending if you need new flanges, i say you should not be charged more than $200 if you are providing your own cat/muffler.
for a little extra money, i would suggest you not get press bent and go with mandrel bent.
get it done right the first time so you won't be wasting money.

alright...i've been trying to find mandrel bent, but noone seems to do it out here...i do have one person that i have to try, he does alot of custom work, and gets pretty good prices on everything(at cost)...everyone says to get mandrel bent, so im planning on it...and it worse comes to worse, i will just have them put on everything but the muffler, since i have a friend who could weld it up there for me...i orignally was going to try and spend as little money as possible, but i figured i may as well get it done right, so im going to go with the high flow cat, and probably spend $100-$150 on a muffler...assuming i can find a decent one...not just an apexi n1...

everything welded 2.5" cat-back was $100 for me, i brought in my own muffler and they put that on too.
