I added these components to my GST to improve handling and ride, do you think I'll notice a good difference or did I go too cheap? This is never going to be an AUTOX car or anything. Just looking for a good daily driver with improved handling for turns and occasional canyon runs.

KYB GR-2 shocks (no GR2s are NOT OEM, stop saying that)
Aerospeed 1.75" lowering springs
Extreme Motorsports strut tower brace
Road Race rear sway bar
Road Race rear undercarriage stabilizer bar
7.5" rims with 215 ZR series tires

Decently improved?

GR2's are not stock? well... they might as well be. AGX's aren't much shorter than stock and you're running lowering springs with GR2s?

Aerospeed springs? who the? what the?

Does the set up suck? well... suck for what? if all you care about is getting from point A to B then I guess it doesn't.

See this thread http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122378

The gr2's are a stiffer version of the stocker, and no I disagree with the arospeed springs. If your just going for decent handling then get eibach prokit...not to stiff but still alright. With the gr2's a 1.75 would be pushing the limit, so the prokits 1.2 is good. And finally with a 7.5 in wheel I would at least get 225 tires.

From original post:

Have a set of Intrax in my office as well but put the Aerospeeds on because that was what I had at the shop. Not the coilovers just the springs.

my question is... why are you asking us after you already added the components. if you want to know, GO DRIVE IT! i mean, its not like driving it is an annoyance (atleast i hope not :| )if you think it handles better, then yes... it does not suck....if you feel its worse...well you see where im going with this. why ask when you can see for yourself, all of the people here are just giving you their personal opinion usually from prev. experience, but when you have it all in your car.. you shouldnt have to ask.

however if your car is in the shop or on jacks and you havent driven it yet, forgive me for i didnt get all the info.

The GR2 aren't the right length for lowering springs. Period. The other guy even said the same.

You dropped the car, lost travel, and the dampers probably aren't enough to handle the uprated springs. Which means the car will pogo stick.

There are only two brands of mass marketed springs I'd trust, H&R and Eibach. AGX shocks or Koni Sports. Koni would be much better... better valved and shorter body as well.

If you want a blunt answer... since the hints didn't work, it sucks.

Everything else is fine, it's just the parts that really matters is where I think you goofed.

Yes the car is on jacks, thats why I was asking.

Thanks for the info, wish I could tell you I went out and bought a JIC magic setup but alas I will stick with this until the shocks go out and then I will put some Koni's in with the intrax and sell the Aerospeed shocks.

Thanks for the replies.

If you're going to get touchy about this, please learn the difference between OE and OEM.

Touchy...

Can never understand why one would buy first and ask questions later, get all touchy when they hear what they don't want to hear.
