does megan 3" downpipe eliminate cat?

i just ordered my megan full 3inch cat back and i need to order a downpipe and its most likely going to be a megan 3inch downpipe and i was just wondering if this downpipe eliminates the cat?thanks guys

you answered your own question.. u ordered a CAT back so thats the exhausst FROM the CAT back. not from the DP back.. a downpipe will bolt up to your cat! youll need to get a tetst pipe or jsut weld a 3in pipe b/w the 2

I ordered a cat back exhaust (VRS) and well its from the CAT back.. so the guys might have mistaken it or jsut werent paying attention or your gettin a hook up and they are sending you a test pipe with it (which would be badass)

well then i was mistaken. since im guesisngt megan is diff. then most DP since my dP didnt eliminate my cat..

depends on how strict your emissions are?

They look under your vehicle with a mirror. No cat, no pass.

If they don't look where you live, and you need the test "standards" (acceptable levels) I can dig up the numbers pretty easily so you'll know where you have to be. You can get your car pre-tested at various places to get the numbers.
There is also a giant thread about "emmisions in your area" which might help.

Also, if you fail the first time, they allow you to get retested for free for a certian period of time. (Go home and put the cat back on)

if they only have a visual test for your exhaust then take the heatshield off of your stock exhaust and have it welded onto your downpipe and it would pry pass just perfect. Our emissions here in oklahoma are nonexistent

well if the laws are anything like cali's, then forget it,don't even try it.just put a cat on it pass smog then put it back on.
