Does it matter which direction u run your bov hose?

Im wondering does it matter which way i run my bov hose to my intake cause my bov is upside down on my intercooler piping and with the stock rubber intake it would go from the bov and make a left turn back to the intake but now i added a 3" hard pipe and im running it from the bov going right to the intake?

ever since i did the upgrade it sounds like my bov is recirculating backwards like i hear fluttering instead of the wooosh sound i got before?

also with my new intake pipe i needed a longer hose so i bought a flex hose from autozone that has a spring in it so i can make that turn without blocking air passage just wondering if its ok to use this kind of hose?

yea but what im hearing is like the air is going threw the loops in the hose and i dont like how it sounds so im gonna try to find another hose without the damn spring in it and see if it goes back to making that wooosh noise it did before all the circles in it makes the air shoot threw like a limbo.

It shouldn't make a difference as long as the hose isn't kinked. I've seen some pretty funky setups that have worked just fine..

is it possible my bov is recirculating the wrong way or from the old to new setup it looks fine how i ran the hose?

I'm surprised no one has said anything. With the way you said it "flutters" instead of a "whoosh" sound, is it possible that your getting surge? are you sure your bov is opening when it should?
