Does anybody know about automatic transmissions

I was wondering if the throttle body closes on an automatic transmission when it shifts gears? thanks for your help.

Not unless you take your foot off the gas.
The throttle butterfly is connected by cable to the pedal.

Are you sure it does?

I work for ZF, who may or may not do the transmissions in those (I know we do the 3 and 5 series, we dont' have a z3 on site, however that doesn't mean it isn't the same tranny, I just don't personally work with them)

Is it a cable throttle, or a throttle by wire?

How do you know it does this while shifting?
