Hey I have been looking for a while and cant find the right answer. We are using a 4G64 block with a 4G63 head, were going to turbo it. I know the stock compressions skyrockets with this combo, so we got the wiseco pistons made for this swap. But do we need different rods? We are hoping for 400 horse or so. If we need new rods, are the journals on the 64 and 63 crank the same size? I cant find any forged 64 rods, but can find a lot of 63 rods.

I cant find a classifieds section either?

4g64 rods are the same as the 4g63.

Good deal, thanks we should have our motor put back together next weekend, will post lots of pics...If I can

Please do, I have a friend who is wanting to do the same thing.

We have been writing down a lot of stuff, will try to do a full writeup. tell him to visit projectzerog.com tons of info.

Another quick question. were looking for rods and pistons, they list 7 bolt and 6 bolt. Our crank is a 7 bolt so is that what we want? Or would either work

7 bolt is what you will want for a 7 bolt setup unless you are going to do some machining on the rod and cap to fit it on the crank for the 7 bolt.

Ok thanks, also were trying to find a intake manifold for the rwd swap. The intake needs to be on the other side of the manifold. Anyone got anything?

Looks like they blocked and cut the manifold.
The intake from evo 4 and up comes into mind. It has the tb on the other side.

So a Evo manifold will do for us huh. I think we ran into a prolbem though. Does anyone have a head chart? I was cleaning our head and noticed it says 1.6L with a 2 under it. Is this not a 4G63 head?

That manifold (in the picture) is from a DSM, they moved the TB to the other side.
I was just tossing the evo 4 and up idea around. It probably will not bolt on to the head, but Im not sure.

Yeah I see that its cut and moved, but if a evo mani will work that would be great. The heads should be the same on all 4G63s if I understand it right
