There is a small hole on my valve cover that I pulled off a 2.0n/t. Can I just fill it with something? I seen oil on that side of the valve cover and I hope that it came from that little hole since Ive put in the prep work and painted it. The valve cover that I took off my car doest have the hole(didnt reuse becaue of down time). I took a pic but the upload fails.

Its on that side. If I where to put the plug wire cove on, it would cover it up if that helps any.

heres a pic a took with my phone

does the hole go the whole way through the VC or is it just a knick? i'd try and fill a bit of it with jb weld then try and smooth off the surface of it to clean it up some.

That hole is not normal and was done by one of the previous owners, it does not come like that from the factory at all. It may have been their attempt at a small and almost useless vent or it is just a dent. It could also be if the baffling was removed before and when they drilled out the factory tacks they went all the way through the valve cover and never noticed until it was too late.

Guys, he's talking about the hole above the flash, not one where the timing cover bolts up to. I suggest not just "putting a bolt in it".

I would pull the VC and use a light to see if it shines through, if it does I guess you could JB weld it ,but I suggest getting a new VC if there's a hole through it (although I think you'd have an oil leak if it was all the way through)

Definitely not OEM.

yep, its screwed the hell up. Looks llike somebody put rivots in it at one point. Waste of 25 bucks and the down time I didnt want. That was the hole reason for buying it(dam junkyard). So if you purchase one from a junkyard(or anywhere), Id take a good look under the valve cover. Ill post a pic when I get time. Thanks
