I have everything in my mod list along with a maft, 3" maf, and dsmlink. what else do i need to run a low 12 high 11 run? do i need a tq converter now or what? thanks for any help

To get into 11's takes a bunch of horse power and a lot of strip time. After a certain point, it becomes incumbent on the driver to get his reaction times down etc.

Absolutely a converter is a must. It allows the engine to get higher into its rpm band before taking off.

Unless you are around 500 wheel hp. I doubt 11's are in your grasp yet.

Your trans will need built if you are going to do this repeatedly. It just won't hold.

And, lastly, get a good aftermarket transmission cooler. You won't be sorry.

Good Luck

I will have to disagree with some of that. There is no need for a convertor with a 16g or smaller turbo, My wifes car(95 awd) have 272 cams, with the stock convertor and she can brake boost it till 25 psi!! ETs with auto's are all in the 60fts. High 11s can be had with much less that 500hp. 500hp in an auto will get you 10s really easy. A e16g can get you 11s with some good tuning. But a restalled convertor will make your car a lot faster if you can't build enough boost out the hole.

so what do u guys say? do i need a tq converter to get into the low 12's or is there something else that would benifit me more?

What are your times now? Whats your 60ft look like? A super 16g is really laggy I 've heard so you may need that convertor. How much psi (can) you build out the hole??
