I have been looking into getting some bigger injectors and i know that i will need a SAFC for tuning but will i need to have a logger to go along with that? Will i hurt anything by not having a logger along with the SAFC? I was looking at getting some 660cc injectors as well. Those are ok for a SAFC right? I have heard that SAFC craps out when you have too big of injectors. How big is too big? Thanks

Yes you need a logger to do any tuning. And a wideband too if you want to be really accurate.

injectors= $200
safc= $250
datalogger cable= $20
palm= $30
logging software= free

yes you do need one but even if you didn't, why wouldnt you? WTF It's the cheapest mod you will ever buy.

660 cc is the highest i would recommend with a safc, you should be good.:thumb:

Yea seriously where do you guys get these 50 dollar logger kits? I've been loocking everyone to pick one up but i cant find anything under a hundred bucks, i guess it's because i have obd II. By the way, i've read the afc is pretty much maxed out with 650cc injectors (correct me if i'm wrong).

well 660cc should be fine, even a set of 680's can be properly tuned with a safc but anything higher and your going to start netting you some higher than wanted timing.

I'm yet to find one for a 2g on ebay.

maybe i'm wrong then, i know there is freeware out there for a 2g which means you don't need to buy pocketlogger to log a 2g.

yea, I think you are, b/c if i could find some for 20 bucks then i'd definitely change my source for getting them.

because

I got 1g logger cables for 15 shipped and 2g logger Interfaces for 90-100 shipped depending on where i'm shipping to.

no point in getting 660's when if you got 550's with your mods you would still be rich and having to use an afc to turn em down. A set of 550's can carry the right car into the low-mid 300hp range if done right.

## right but i still want to be able to have the option of adding more fuel when i have all of my upgraes done. I dont want to be limited to a certain amount of power because my injectors are too small. I am still going to be looking for more horsepower after i add injectors and everything so i want to be able to be making more than 300+ hp

Okay sorry to jack the thread but u guys seem to know a decent amount... I'm in the process of putting on my SAFC-II, Denso 660's, and an aeromotive FPR... my problem is i wanna get it dynotuned after i do all this... if i add the safc with the 660's and the aeromotive fpr im gonna be running sh1t rich on the way to the dyno... what are the steps i should take so i dont run shit rich? should i try to change some settings on the safc before i put the injectors and fpr on? or after? is there any presets on tuners that will get my car running decent before i have a specialist dyno- tune it? any advice?

if only it could be answered within 24 hours im just gonna get the place tuning it to install the injectors and fpr when i get there the guy does shit pretty cheap... got the safc in this morning no problems other than the directions the afc came with... freaking apexi and there universal electronics... but i used these directions here http://diy.prostreetonline.com/howto/showarticle.asp?articleid=25 for the install and i used a corresponding ecu map that i cannot currently find right now... but you can do it without the corresponding ecu map just refer to the apexi installation booklet diagram in the front as well as the one in the back...

as for the rest of my installation i think im just gonna have the shop out the injectors and regulator in when i get to the shop so i dont run like shit all the way up there...
