All my mods are in my profile
But im running a 2.4 6 bolt block with an fp3065 turbo at 35psi. I have two manifold to work with. A DNP tubular one or an evo 3 mani.
I like the evo mani because I can keep my stock arp bolts. The DNP I have to find shorter ones. Which I can't seem to come across
Would I see much of a difference in performance and spool up compared to each other?
I'm just looking for some advice and opinions here. I'm willing to put on both. I just have no experience with tubular mani's so I am undecided

Or a better option and go with the FP cast manifold.

I would have to agree, the FP manifold is a great option, but thats not what the OP asked.

If you had to choose between the DNP manifold or the evo3 manifold, I would go with the evo3. It has its benefits, cast manifolds tend to be stronger. You can port the runners to allow for a smoother exhaust flow and larger volume of exhaust gases. The SS DNP manifold has proven to hold up and work, but I feel SS tublar radiates too much heat under the hood than the cast manifold, loss of heat from exhaust gases means loss of power. You can always ceramic coat or wrap the manifolds, in addition the EVO manifold can use the stock heatshield or an aftermarket JMF or another producers of SS heatshields

I have seen tubular manifolds that are DNP style crack from excessive heat. I have not seen an actual DNP manifold crack, the ones I saw crack are DNP style, not actually a DNP product. With that being said, I know DNP has supports under each runner to help bracing.

I love the look of the DNP manifold. But I'm having a such a pain keeping the turbo bolted tight to the DNP manifold. I had studs made up and secured in the turbo side then locked down with automotive grade nuts on the turbo side. But the nuts always come loose within a few weeks of driving and cause exhaust leaks
I never ever had a problem with the evo manifold and the arp turbo bolts coming loose
Decisions decisions!

I wish I could see comparison numbers between DNP & FP cast mani.
I agree the DNP gives off too much heat. I'd really like to see any numbers that a DNP produces more hp than a stock ported 2G exhaust mani.
I have the DNP and if I had it to do again I wouldn't have bothered. For the expense I'd be hard pressed to buy it again. It's pretty for the first week or so. I don't like that the flanges on the DNP mani has mild steel flanges. The newer FP manis are cast stainless.

I don't question the durability of the DNP mani. It is stout.

I had a DNP manifold... it looks nice but it's got three things working against it - it has welds that can fail, it isn't good at retaining heat and it looks like crap coated (ask me how I know), and trying to get to the mounting bolts is a pain. I was so happy when the FP manifold became available. I'd go with that as my first choice, or go with an Evo 3 manifold. If I had a ton of cash, I'd consider paying Shearer for one of his manifolds (for a street or drag car), but I don't know I'd go with many other welded options.

I have an FP manifold on my 1g GSX track car and an Evo 3 on my 2g TSi street car. The Evo 3 looks stock, which is important here in Cali. If it wasn't I'd have FP manifolds on both cars.

Agree with Luda. In my opinion the DNP is fluff. It's a wannabe tubular mani. It also has a small 6cm or 7cm output and can't be ported larger. If I had it to do I'd not go half ass and get a Shearer or actually go fairly inexpensive and get the FP. I'm just not impressed with the DNP.

I had a DNP and it looked amazing under the hood, after a hot run one night I stopped the car and turned off the lights but there was light coming from around the front of my hood area. I popped the hood and to my surprise my DNP was glowing bright orange like it was the center of the sun. I also noticed that my VIS Carbon hood was like jello over the manifold area. I was like holy crap! So I did research and some said to wrap it, but being in any sort of humidity and that is really bad because moisture gets trapped between the manifold and the wrap and that leads to rust, corrosion. So I sent off my DNP to JetHot and they did the 2k coating. Put the manifold back on and it reduced under hood temps pretty significantly but it still made my hood really soft and discolored above the manifold.
Next 2G I told myself that there was no way I was going to try and battle that again so I went with the FP manifold and had it coated by FFWD. There is a really big difference, and considering my last setup is very similar to my DNP setup I think I can say from experience that there is a huge difference between between a tubular manifold and a cast for under hood temps.
If I would have been thinking properly I think I would have spent the extra money to get the external wastegate setup on the FP manifold. Even if my current turbo is not externally gated, in my future I am looking at 30R, 35R, Holset turbo's. Buy once and rock it for good!
