DIY Wide Body...(warning lots of photos..)

Looks great! I would have tapered down the front fenders behind the wheel well to match up with the door better. Same thing for the area between the rear doors and wheel well. Awesome work regardless

i hear what your saying.... and i did put plans to do it.... but if you look in to it more closely, the middle of the car is too long to have the front fender and rear tapered in, it would change the look of my car into one very long 2door.... its the only reason i didnt do it... that and 2" wider on the front is not as easy to taper on these cars...

on the other hand i can keep all the stock mud guards, dog legs and stock plastics that go near the door edges...

but cheers for the comments though.. good ideas for the next person to try out..

How long have you been doing bodywork? Im impressed my friend and I wont even tackle painting my valve cover LOL...

cheers..

i'll be honest, this is my first build with body work involved. its not really scary when you know you have spare parts lying around, but touching an immaculate body with a grinder, your nerves do kick in when you hit the "no turning back" point...

you wont know till you give it a go :thumb:

final update... rears painted..

I mean its cool and everything... I just hate how the doors didnt come out at all. Looks like a hack job if you dont know how much work actually went into it.
