NOTE: This article is specifically for replacing the turbo coolant return line when using the 1G turbo version of the water pipe. Similar methods could be used for other applications.
If you are like me, you are really sick of dealing with the stock hard water return line. In addition to that, you can no longer buy them from the dealer. (some venders still have stock)
I went to a bunch of places trying to get the correct fittings to make my own line, I figured I would document this to save others the hassle.
Stock Water Line -
The M16x1.5 to -AN adapter is for the water pipe and the M14x1.5 to -AN is for the turbo.
I am using a T25 but i know this works on a 14b and 16g also.
-AN to hose fittings. These pretty much depend on what kind of hose you with to use. You can easily use SS Braided Line for basically the same cost. You will need 1 of them to be a 90degree Swivel and one needs to be Straight. You will need some sort of sealing device. Mine have both sealing washers and O-rings.
Fitting installed in the Turbo.
Fitting installed in waterpipe.
This is how it looks on my Sandrail.
