differnce between type rs and type s bov??

im switching bov from the one that came with my car when i bought it. but i see type s and type rs when im lookin to buy and i have no clue what the difference is. can someone help?

Not much, same flange, close to the same sound, both are adjustable. RS is bulkier and comes with a vent fitting that can be taken off to be replaced with a recirculation fitting but I think that's pretty much it.

Not a whole lot is different, I know the valve size is a bit bigger on the RS vs the S. 37mm for the S, 40mm for the Type RS

so would a type rs be too big for the stock air intake pipe?

As in the outlet to connect to the intake pipe? Nope, same size as the type S, your stock rubber hose should connect it without any issues (depending on the routing of your UICP and where your BOV is located). Since it's the same flange, it will mount on any pipe you previously had a type S on.
