differences in o2sensor

I have a 97gsx and the o2 needs to be replaced. I have a 95 awd parts car that has been sitting for about a year. The o2 sensor in it was used for about 3 months and then the car sat. There wont be a problem just using the sensor in my parts car or are they different since in 97 the ecu changed? Also, will the sensor be ok from sitting so long?
