After a lot of searches online, wiki and forums, I'll have to give in and ask..
I need some advice here. I compared the old Mitsubishi 4layer metal headgasket with the new HKS Stopper headgasket, and found that 2 of the oilholes are smaller on the HKS one. 2 Mitsu holes are 6mm, 2 HKS holes are 3mm.
What can be the reason?
Here is the Mitsu gasket ontop of the HKS one.
Here are the location of the two small oilholes on the HKS gasket, transmission side.
Can this be to keep more oil in the head? Increase pressure on lifters to prevent tick? It's only the two holes on this side that is different, the rest are the same or larger.
Anyone who know what it can be?
Thanks,
John
