so im going to look at a gsx shell... and he states the car has tein ss coilovers on it... now i want to know how to tell the difference between them and basics from the naked eye... its too hard to know what product is actually pictured in an online website or something... i just wanna know in case i make a false purchase thanks in advance... personal pictures would be optimal

I don't have any personal experience with Tein coilovers and I'm not sure how they're visually different. Kind of a long shot, but you can peak at them from the wheel well and see if they're labeled? If nothing else, you can ask for a receipt, I know if I spent close to $1k on suspension, I'd have the receipt. :)

The SS have adjustable dampers.

bingo.

though are you gonna not buy the car because it doesnt have the SS? I dont think id really care either way if it was Street or SS. Not gonna effect the sale price of the car, hell its like a $300 difference retail anyways.

its not that i wouldnt buy it... i just would like to know what I am buying and catch someone trying to pull a fast one

But if anyone has personal pictures of theyre own suspension that would help me alot

That is a good way to gauge how truthful a seller is being with you. I do that a lot when dealing with someone I might make a larger purchase from.
