im wondering if the 92 eagle talons have a oil cooler or not i cant seem to find mine and how can i tell?

if it doesnt will it destroy things? i heard without a oil cooler u have to change your oil way before 3k miles is this true?

i would like to buy the stm oil cooler kit but im wondering will i have issues bolting it up someplace cause they come in standard and large i was thinkin to get the large one or the extreme psi oil cooler kit which is cheaper.

You have a internal liquid cooled oil cooler inside your oil filter housing, that is the lines running to and from your thermostat housing. For six bolts you need a 90 oil filter housing, or a mitsu mighty max housing even has external ports.

If anything I would think it would extend the oil's life since you are keeping it cool.

Dang third place within the minute, well I still am on the podium for bronze.

It should be that thing that looks kinda like a bunch of discs sanwiched together. Your oil filter screws right onto it.

is it good enough or should i upgrade it with a real oil cooler? i mean i dont do any drag racing or track stuff but i do like to get on it here and there on the streets. i run synthetic oil and k&n performance gold filter.

92 is a water cooled housing as said. Check the rubber hoses going to it for any wear. Normal oil change intervals will work fine.

If you're disaster prone, you better use the air to liquid oil cooler. There's less chance of your oil filter falling off, less chance of crushing it by overtightening the filter, and less chance of coolant mixing with your oil.

In Mitsubishi's opinion apparently, and in practical theory, the liquid to liquid cooler (which is real by the way) is superior. Liquid is supposed to transfer heat better, which is why ther aren't many high performance air cooled engines, and also why my next big upgrade will probably be a water to air intercooler system.
