Today I ran some UV dye through my oil and used a UV light tonight to find where it comes out. Seems to be around most of the head, seeping out front right side and rear right pretty strongly. Soaked the whole block in green dye.

My car is non turbo, but my dip stick keeps popping out the tube. Push it back down, sticking out an inch and a half or so when I go look again. Could this be because the PCV is bad? I've read that can also blow out gaskets which seems to be my problem. But I don't have the major symptoms of a blown head gasket like dead heater, overheating, running terribly, etc. I get a TINY poof of white smoke occasionally but nothing major.

When driving it around for a while my oil pressure drops then a few minutes later the engine sputters pretty bad, could this be cause of that? Other than that I don't have as ill effects as I would expect.

I plan on changing the head gasket here in the next few days but not looking forward to this project.

Here are some pics of the Dye:

has the head been off before?

you may be leaking coolant just when the engine is up to op temp.

No idea if the head has been off, I just acquired the car LOL. I will likely be changing the head gasket and other gaskets this week sometime
