in other news, i tried new coils on my talon and there was no change in the ignition. i have checked for boost leaks at least 13 times. i ran a compression test today and i have absolutely no compression in cylinder 2. after i took the valve cover off i did not find any valves that seem to be bent and withdrawn into the head, but it is still a possiblilty that valves are bent. at any rate i will be taking the head off as soon as i can in order to figure out if it is a bent valve, broken land, melted/cracked piston, faulty ring, etc. i think i learned my lesson. you just shouldn't but stock cast pistons back into these engines when rebuilding. i think it might be time for some forged internals. we will have to see what the wallet says.

for the meantime, expect a civic or something else at the meet on the 9th.

So here's an update people,

Matt, being the mastermind he is, will shortly be done with the new and improved DSTA website.

The window decals are being produced as we speak and may possibly be ready by this meet, but if not for sure by next meet.

The T-Shirts, will be available within about a month or two.

I look forward to meeting the new people at this next meet and seeing anyone who will be attending for a second time. Everyone please tell any DSM enthusiasts in your area about the meet and try to recruit them to come check it out!

Yeah it was fun. The friend that was with me is Mike, mekal on this website. I don't know if you'll get a chance to race it. He's planning on selling it to my neighbor so that he can get a DSM that's boosted. If you want to race that car though I can get the buyer to race you still just for fun, he's a 16yr old kid.

JDM Motors are identical to ours. the only JDM Motor to look for is the evo3 motor because it comes with a 16g, and larger injectors. the shortblock is identical to our usdm motors.

Sorry man, won't be able to make this one. My plans got moved up and I'm heading to Illinois 2 weeks early. I will however be at the world series of drag racing on the 23rd in Cordova, Illinois if anybody wants to head over. If you are looking at going to the shootout, we have a thread in the midwest forum about getting a group together and a couple stop points to pick up people. Hope to see some people at these events.

My entire life went to hell this past week, and I'm both cutting my losses and being the bigger man and moving back home to the Twin Cities for this coming semester.

I'm planning on coming back down, and I'll keep in touch, but I really can't justify what it would take to stick around.
