Hey just to let everyone know thats goin to the meet...the cops downtown have been real dicks lately. So if we cruse the loop just dont do ne thing stupid. but there only bad for like an hr. But also if you guys wanted...last night there was alot of ppl that went to the bridge so i dont know if we all went go to the bridge and park along one side and then go to the races or ### not. but i thought i would just give everyone a heads up on the cops downtown....

If you head downtown, get used to it. I went there quiet a bit last year and I watch them pull over people all night long. That's why I just park on the side so they can't say anything to me. Just a couple hours left, I'm heading out to wash the car right now, praying it doesn't rain before the meet. If it is raining, just meet 1 floor down so we don't get soaked.

The one thing I've got to say is that nobody should do anything stupid because we don't want any accidents, especially between participants.

Im planning on being there, but im not gonna be in my eclipse ### im trying to sell it, and i dont have any insurance on it anymore so i cant drive it, so im gonna have to show up with my honda instead.

to all in the Ames area. There are some of meeting at the bp gas station on south duff at 615 then leaving when everyone shows up to cruise together to the meet. If you are in the area meet there with us. I'm ready for this thing to get under way. Anybody got a boost gauge for sale?

Reg and tech is from 8 - 10:30. Iowa Region's running this one, and they do things a bit differently. Show up early regardless, as first car on course is at 11.

And along the lines of this being the All-Iowa Challenge... if you do come to participate, I'd suggest showing up early, walking the course, prepping your car, and then doing reg and tech later, around 10. Reason being, you don't want to have any of the SM or PRO class guys behind you, so you'll be able to chose a good spot after others have signed up. Seriously, our last course was half a mile long, and one of our SM guys almost rear-ended someone. They're ridiculous when they get competitive.

Also to note, the more experienced guys are going to be even faster on this course... the lot we're on is concrete.

I drive a ranger, so i won't be racing. But I plan on being there to spectate

I left from the trailer park next to Target so depending which gas station you were at it might have been me. I saw quiet a few DSMs running around Des Moines after the meet, but none where at the meet. We need to recruite more to our cause.

Lol good times...what car did you come in?

Those turns in the back looked very high speed in the walkthough, but they weren't, as I found out the first 2 laps. I did lock up in both of them, because I don't have abs, but I lowered the front tire pressures and braked earlier and it was all good..

I ended up running a 46.18, and I think spaz ran a 46.4.

So much for awd
