It does look really smooth, almost could get away with a 2 tone paint job that way.

there might be one problem
i passed bt grays lake yesterday and its still closed so i hope it will be open in 1o days
I dont get alot of hours at work and it turns out that some of the few I get during this week happen to be noon to 5 on the day of the meet. Grrrr priorities
.i went to the 2006 minnesota 3si all mitsubishi cookout car show looking like that! (i wanted to be unique and i was hoping there would be an award for "dirtiest dsm")
some people came up to me and asked if it was painted on because the dirt looked so smooth and soft

I got a chuckle out of it. You coming to the All Mitsu Cookout this year?
later,
Curt

I would, in fact. I dunno when I'm leaving yet, probably somewhere between 7:30-8. We'll talk, regardless. And spaz, is there any chance you'd want to meet up in ames, and drive to Waterloo?
What, you're not going to drive on them like I do? JK, I got one fixed, the other just needs a repacking, so it's totally drivable. You gonna autox it once you get those fixed?unfortunately, my talon is still sitting on bad rear wheel bearings so you guys are gonna have to put up with the civic. i have been contacting someone at a mitsu dealer to get some oem bearings since one of these bearings that are shot is an oreilly auto parts bearing i put on the car 3 or 4 years ago. wheel bearings should last longer than 3 or 4 years.

btw, has anybody heard anything about mod 08 in normal? i know the mod i california already happened.

you are going to swap a 2.3L stroker into a camaro?im building my stroker and wont be done in time. I hope its going to be done before the end of the summer to take it out to the track. I have a camero that I would like to introduce to 2.3l of forced induction power.
I know the bearings can't be repacked, I'm just saying that's all they would need, justifying my continuing to drive on them... come on, it's a DSM, how can I not know about the bearings?the rears are sealed bearings, they cannot be repacked.
that was my plan all along; to start learning autocross on a slower car like my civic. once i feel comfortable i will step up to the talon. that will suck because all the experience i have cornering is in a fwd car and i'm gonna have to forget all that for my awd talon. i cannot wait to autocross that thing, but i want to do it right and learn as much technique as i can.
i might have to catch up with you guys on your way to waterloo.
