There has been recent discussion on cutting new boards for our crappy 2G trunk boards. Has anyone tried the Diamond Plate trunk floors found on ebay for around $100. If so, how did they fit, how much weight could you put on it, and do they work for all models. I currently have a beater piece of wood I put in there until I cut a new one and carpet it, but I think I'd like the dimaond plate. Thanks in advance. :dsm: :talon:

so.... metal to pick up more heat in the sun light make your car hotter. More weight? something to shear off your head when in an accident.

And we are building imports.

Not jeeps.

"Keep your head on" in more than one way, diamond plate :barf: too much F&f in the world.

I've been thinking about throwing a large slab of diamond plate back there as well, but I can't stand that much chrome, plus the metal would tear the hell out of some of the equipment i carry so I've been considering going with rubberized diamond plate, just my $.02

Thanks guys, I think i will just carpet the wood I have...

I know this is almost 2 years old, but FYI, the diamond plate trunk mats sold on ebay are made to fit AWDs only.
