im thinking the get together will be sometime during spring-summer....possibly spring break easter week....or maybe summer...either way whenever its warm...think we should have it at some park...hooters is a bad idea...dont want v8 a$$holes comin n ruining our meet....so im thinking more on the lines of a park somehwhere?

hey guys whats up im from new castle! Anyway right now I have no car but i should be getting a tsi awd pretty soon hopefully by summer. I live sort of close to the hooters on 13 and every wednesday (might be thursday) they have that meet but its all older/muscle cars Ive never seen an import there (ive passed it a few times never actually went to the meet). As for lums pond its like $2 to get in, theres a couple nice lots to have a meet there. Old new castle is NOT the place to have a car meet, the people are the biggest assholes there, they complain about every little thing. Like me and my boy drove his car (sort of loud) through old new castle (washington street i think but right off route 9) on the way to school one day and some asshole must have called the cops and reported him cause when he got home NCCo cops called him. So im sure you guys would get "warned" by county cops.

DSM90AWD wheres the shop gonna be? I will be interested in getting my car tuned when I get my DSM. Man I wish I knew about the newark thing I might have been able to go (im not a southern boy tho ). Last meet I went to with a few friends was in the summer at the bob carpenter center parking lot close to main street in newark, it was fun but it rained! OK enough rambling i gotta get up for work tomorrow. Later!

im thinkin lums pond is a good idea we can have a cook out n disscuss liek prez n vice prez n all that if we wanna b liek that n look at cars n help me with my probs since my car has 137 k miles on it im learning slowly i had a neon for two years n i knew how to fix everything on that but yea i like the lums pond idea and i see dsms all the time im always out look for a 90 laser with painted black n chrome rims

oh yea and can anyone redo hood latches my hood dont latch all the way n my ceiling in falling down i will pay not expectign anything fro free jus tryin to save money cause shops are way to expensive

Lums is close to me so am warming up to it
Also Parks in DE are free Nov1 thru April30.

The NCC Cops gave me a hard time when I used to take my "Loud Talon" to my Co's softball games at Delcastle/Banning. Don't even think about alcohol these days on County land

When I had my SportBike we used to congregate at B-King till they started giving out tix for "parking more than one vehicle in a single space".. or "loitering".. total BS!!!

They just make s%^t up to discourage you from cruising around Newark :thumbdown:

well i might not b interested no nmore my car is leaking antifreeze bad from somewhere down by turbo or behind it i cant find it and the tranny is poppin and its hartd toi get in gear im selling for 1500 obo i got new timing belt water pump head gasket battery and radiator hoses im tryin to sell and get a 2g but if not can someone help me figure out my antifreeze probs n kno somewhere to get a cheap tranny ???? thanx for alll the help

i think bob carpenter center is also not a bad idea...real close.....right by newark....and i can find out when people are n arnt gonna be in that parkin lot cpl friends that work there...just throwin some ideas out for now but we definetly gotta agree on something when its warmer out (its gettin close really close)

We had a small meet there in the summer, and cruised around Newark afterwards, it was pretty fun but it rained. It was mostly WRXs and a couple SRT4s. But one of the people who organized the meet went to UD so I don't know if you can use their property if your not a student. Anyway DSM90AWD what part of Newark, like around the Glasgow/Route 896 area, or more towards UD (like all the way up rt 72 by college square etc)? Sorry don't know of any warehouses but I'll be on the lookout (I go around there sometimes).

If its a matter of having a UD student to organize it to have it there, ive got that covered. My vote is a state park, but we've got time to figure it out.

I'm from Elkton MD, only a few minutes from Newark. I'm down for any meets in this area (Newark). I wanna get out and meet some fellow DSMer's. I will also be in Newark almost every weekend, once I get the turbo back from PTE . For now I'm ridin shotgun:thumbdown

I assume your near rt 40 then sLoGSX? Lums pond isn't too far in for u in that case. Sorry not too familair with that area but I know that 896 is right next to lums pond, and 40 hits 896, so your good to go. Anybody can come really, maybe some of the philly club dsm guys?

Yeah. Route 40 cuts right through Elkton before it runs into Glasgow. I live on the MD/DE line, 3 mins away from 896. Keep me posted on any gatherings.
