I'm installing my dejon tool intake( CIP-2gs), and i noticed, after i removed the stock intake, that there is a rubber seal between the turbo and the intake. I go to install the Dejon Tool intake, but it wont fit over the rubber seal. So, i remove the rubber piece to see if the intake would fit like that, but it fit to loose. So, should the rubber piece be there and i just need to put some muscle into it? Or should the rubber piece not be there, and maybe my couplers are funky?

Also, i bought the K&N Filter & Adapter kit from Dejon, but it came with no screws. Am i suppost to use the stock airbox screws?

Try reusing the stock 4 bolts, if they don't work make a trip down to Lowes, Home Depot, or Ace HW for some nuts&bolts. You may also want to pickup a bracket to keep the airfilter from just hanging there if your kit didn't come with one. You may also want to try the stock clamp that went over the turbo inlet and see if you have any luck holding things down without the rubber piece, just my 2 cents though :thumb: .

Did the Dejon intake come with 2 hard rubber couplers one inside the other?

take the rubber seal off, tighten down the clamp on the coupler as much as u have to, the stock intake pipe needs rubber on rubber to seal correctly or it slips

Yah, it came with the couplers.

Okay, ill remove the rubber, and give it a good tighten.

Thanks guys

Don't want to mess you up but I may have used the original rubber spacer. At any rate don't loose it. A little silicone helped me. Alsoyou can buy a better reducer from a place like www.hightempsilicone.com

Yeah, I was messing with the same problem this morning. I notice that the wastegate bracket on my evo3 was in the way some what but, I still made it (tight squeeze). I am thinking of trimming the bracket some to make room for the coupling to fit in right, along with the clamp to fit securely. That defenatly is a pretty pipe.

The only other question I have regarding this particular setup is: will I be able to install my diamond start motorsport intake heat shield with this intake pipe. Right now I am designing a custom cool air intake cuct coming from my front bumper to my air filter and part of this system involves a intake heatshield. I'll find out soon enough.... :thumb:

Hey, just something that may help you guys when you install the intake to the turbo is to keep the two couplers that came with the intake ( you may ditch the old one off the turbo ) . I was having a little trouble with installing these clamps - so, what I did was, I loosened up the two bolts on the wastegate bracked enough where I could slide the couplers and clamp over , then tighted down the clamps and re-tightened the wastegate bracket and everything else was good to go. :thumb:

I don't know what size you got off of Dejontool, but I have the 2 3/4" one. The rubber coupler that is on the compressor when you remove the stock intake pipe you keep there. There should be a total of three couplers that came with the intake pipe, one for each end and a smaller one that allows you to have it fit snug on the T25 or any TD05 turbo. I found it easier to get the the smaller one that came with the intake and place it over the one already on the compressor inlet. This should make it a bit easier.

As for the bolts, the FIPK should come with it, at least mine did. You can't really use the ones on the airbox because they have a weird shaped head. Just get some from Home Depot.

When I swtiched over to a 14B, the bracket for the wastegate actuator got in the way. I fixed this by just buying a transition coupler (2.75 to 2.5...is what I got, although I think 2.25 is perfect).
