Dejon LICP for MKIV Supra Sidemount...how to make it fit???

I picked up a Supra sidemount for an awesome price. Couldnt pass it up. One thing I saw is that Dejon sells a LICP that fits their "modified intercooler"...I asked if it would fit the Supra and he said no because the inlet is angled. So I am wondering if that LICP can be used but modified a bit to fit or what? Can a different or longer coupler be used to connect the pipe to intercooler? Any help would be much appreciated. Also I dont want custom piping if at all possible...dont really trust a shop to do it around here.

I'm using a RRE lower intercooler pipe that comes with their 16g turbo kit. It is just an L that comes down from the J pipe. Pretty much any hard lower intercooler pipe will work that would normally go to the stock SMIC. The only modification for mine was to turn it so that it pointed forward more and I used a 2.5" coupler and double clamped it. The important thing IMO is that the pipe is 2.25" diameter or if at all possible 2.5" to make it so that you don't have to use a reducer.

As far as having a local shop build you some pipe it isn't a big deal, any exhaust shop with a mandrel bender should be able to take care of your needs. It isn't exactly rocket science.

The Supra IC has a 2.5 in and out so I would use 2.5 piping. The one Dejon sells has the J-pipe and then straight pipe and smaller piece that looks like it will make that "L" shape. But the inlet on the Supra IC is angled out toward the front a bit...would a long coupler or maybe a 45* work to connect the two better?

The piping on my 1G FWD with a Supra SMIC couldn't be any simpler.

I have a RRE 2.25" J-pipe that faces the ground toward the passenger's side of the car, and a 2.25" 90* elbow at the base of the J-pipe facing the intercooler. A 2.25" to 2.5" coupler connects the elbow to the intercooler, and that's it. A standard DeJon upper intercooler pipe connects the outlet of the intercooler to the throttle body.

Of all the custom intercoolers I've installed, the Supra SMIC was by far the most painless.

So will the 2.5" Dejon LICP fit with no problem? I think its a 45 degree at the end and not a 90 degree.

Nobody makes a lower intercooler pipe that is designed to be used with the Supra SMIC....you're probably going to be on your own to come up with an efficient piping design. The point I was making is that it was a rather simple piping design.

I will play around with it then. May just have a shop do it. Just dont know how I am going to get the car there for them to do it

on my 2g my LICP was smaller than the Supra IC pipe so i just used 2 couplers. the 2"(or whatever size the LICP is) coupler on the Pipe and then a 2.5" 45º bend. Fit nice and snug holds 20+ psi.
