Sup, new guy to the DSMtuners.com forums obviously... I'm a honda guy... Regular on ClubRSX.com. Decided to go for an early 90's DSM over an integra... they just dont have enough speed
Anyways, I'm in the market for a 92-95 Talon TSi AWD. All Wheel Drive is a must. I've read most of the tech guides on the main page about differences in the models and the routes to 300whp and 400whp. As of now my plans are pretty conservative... I'm still in high school and want a quick car to get around in... Basically needs to get me to school everyday (5-10 minute drive.)
In time I want to get it into the 300-350WHP range, possibly high 11's.
Questions:
Which year should be the best? The pros and cons just arent clear.. I like the 1G style, weight, and power more... I'm just not too sure about the little things like EPROM and such... Don't care much about looks. Nice paint, some good wheels and tires, tint, and a little drop thats easy on the eyes is all I like..
What should I look for while buying? Mostly engine wear and problems... outside of the tradition rust and wear of a 12+ year old car...
Overall I will probably not dump much more than 10-12k into this car, might park it while I go to college and pick up a reliable beater and continue later though.
Cheers, hope to become a regular here pretty soon.
