It's a 95 Tsi AWD, the seals went out of the turbo, I need to buy a new one. I am on a budget, and would like to get some decent performance out of it. It is completely stock and I bought it as is. I know I need to do the regular preventative maintenance, the trans is a little loose, and I'm planning on taking the intake off and cleaning it, post turbo. I live in rural south eastern Minnesota, and don't race a lick, but I sure drive anything like I stole it.

I think I will be replacing with stock until I have enough supporting mods, and enough cash in hand to buy a big turbo, possibly a Garrett BB turbo. I know I'm a newbie, and I will be doing a lot of research into other turbos and how their spool up is, because I want a rather quick spool.

Where would the best place be to find a cheap t25? Stock or ported, doesn't matter to me.

or you can go with a used 14b! i used one on my 2g when i was breaking the new motor in. you would get more hp and spend very little $$

True, but don't I have to buy a kit, or fabricate something in order to install the 14b, or the 16g?
right?
